Like many here, been watching the repeats on telly of your 83 & 85 wins. Really fantastic stuff, brought back some great childhood memories. As a kid I always thought of you in the same light as Superman and my other childhood comic book superheroes at the time! Loved seeing you on Shooting Stars a few years back, just wish you popped up on telly more often mate ;-) I'm no budgie breeder myself, but I know from our little Joe, who passed away 3 years ago now, just what great little personalities they are. Great to see your still competing Geoff :-D Happy New year mate.

Hi Geoff Just watching Strongest Man and reminded of being a steeplechaser at Crystal Palace (Barrier Club) and watching you from the "Fuzz" tee shirt days to your greatest days as an international athlete. You were always a gentleman and made of the stuff sports people should be. I also saw you win the 60M dash in Scotland at the Highland games. Great times...... All the very best to you.

Hi Geoff Just watched the Strongest man re-runs on TV and it is amazing how it takes you back lol . I remember when my dad and everyone elses used to say "I can't lift that - who do you think I am - Geoff Capes" ? I now say it to my kids. You are a legend sir. I met you once at a Chamber of commerce event and you are a nice guy too. Happy new year.

Great to hear your commentating on UK's Strongest Man . I was also pleased to see Bravo showing the 1983 and 1985 WSM finals wonderful to see you in action. I wish you a marvellous 2010!

Hi Geoff. I just watched a repeat of the 85 comp. You were awesome. I also saw you at the Uk version in Dudley a few years back. I looke for the other competitors in that final of 85 and was shocked at the deaths of several of the competitors. Jean Pall Sigmarsson Cees de Vreugd Rick Brown Very sad. But I'm glad your well. Hi Geoff just watched Worlds strongest man competition 1985. I met you once when i was about 6 yrs old , you opened a village fate that was held in one of my grandads fields on his farm in Worcester . good to see you in action on strongman comp. awesome.
